Analytics Now Available to All Users

December 11, 2014

analytics-blog Today, we’re excited to give all SlideShare users deeper insight into the effectiveness of your content through the release of SlideShare Analytics.

Analytics help you understand what’s working -- and what’s not -- as you grow and engage with your audience. Here’s what our tool can help you understand:

-Geographical Distribution: Measure and analyze user engagement by understanding where your users are

-Traffic Sources: Understand how your audience is discovering your content, and evaluate which channels work for you

-Timing: Understand seasonal variations in your view count -- and what days of the week and month perform better when posting content than others

We’ve also made enhancements to improve view count accuracy by removing bot (web crawler) views. This is important because many of you rely on view counts as one measure of effectiveness on SlideShare. As a result, you may see some changes in the number of views on your existing SlideShares. Some SlideShare users might see an increase in views because we corrected a system issue that had underreported some of the views. For others, total views may be slightly lower because they will now represent your real (human!) audience. If you have other questions, please visit our FAQs.

We’re excited to roll out SlideShare Analytics so that all of you can access deeper content insights and better understand what resonates with your audience for free. If you already share on SlideShare, go ahead and try it out -- see the deck above to get started and view your analytics here! If you haven’t uploaded to SlideShare yet, now is the time to start!
