We’ve had queries from some users regarding turning off related slideshows at the end of your embedded presentations. While our developers are working on an automated feature, we do have a quick temporary fix for the moment.

All you’ve got to do is locate the following lines in your embed code and add &rel=0 at the end of the URL; this needs to be done at two places in the embed code.

<param name="movie" value="http://static.slideshare. net/swf/ssplayer2.swf?doc=somr-the-social-media&rel=0" />

and

<embed src="http://static.slideshare. net/swf/ssplayer2.swf?doc=somr-the-social-media&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="355">

The rest of the code remains the same. Please let us know in case you face problems with this.

Many SlideShare users are also WordPress users. In fact, SlideShare widgets are embedded into Wordpress more than into any other social network. I am constantly amazed by the enthusiasm of the Wordpress community. Joost de Valk has made it even more easy to embed SlideShare widgets into Wordpress.org. He noticed that we offer a special embed code for Wordpress.com users. His new plugin allows Wordpress.org users to use that same embed code. Just install this plugin and then you can use the Wordpress.com embed code to embed a SlideShare widget.

If you use Wordpress MU and want to easily embed slideshare slideshows into your posts, then use this plugin that from Elad. We recently released an embed code for wordpress.com which is already seeing a lot of use, and we are excited that WordPress MU users can do SlideShare embeds as well. Thanks Elad!
If you use a blogging platform that does not support SlideShare embeds, then let us know. We are making a special effort to work with all the blogging platforms to make sure that our users can embed slideshows into their blogs.

We are keeping track of sites that are adding Slideshare support. SkillsFeed, an elearning platform just announced in their blog that they have better integration with YouTube, GoogleVideo and Slideshare. Their bookmarklet will grab the title, description and other fields from Slideshare.

BlogMemes which aggregates news across blogs in a number of languages added Slideshare support in French, English and Japanese versions. They wrote that Belgian, Chinese, Spanish and Portugese versions will soon follow. Here is a French example.
Thanks BlogMemes and SkillsFeed. If you have any news to share regarding Slideshare support, please post a note below.
