You might have already caught these on TechCrunch (in separate back to back articles). We’re sharing both these decks together for those who missed it.

The first of these decks is titled VC Non Admissions. The deck was adapted from a thread on ExpertCEO contributed by a range of CEOs and VCs about the top twelve things you’d never hear a VC say.

The reply came fast. And it was titled Founders Non Admission.

All for friendly, tongue-in-cheek banter.

This is one of our most requested features for SlideCasting.

We are happy to announce that you can now host your slidecasting mp3 audio files on slideshare. You can also continue to host them on an external host (e.g. archive.org) as before. The choice is entirely yours.

Here’s a quick tutorial for how this will work.

For SlideCasting, there is

- No limits to audio file size that you can upload to SlideShare (or host externally).
- No bandwidth consumption limits.
- No limits to the nos of slidecasts you can create in your SlideShare account.
- No music uploads, this is for talks, podcasts, panels and discussions. If you want to synchronize with music, please host it yourself.
- Please upload audio files for which you have copyright. If we get any complaints about copyright, we will respond immediately. (Please read our terms of service):

Hope the community likes this feature. Let us know your feedback in the comments

We’re happy to announce that our relaunched Facebook app has been verified by those awesome folks at Facebook. Facebook rolled out this program yesterday and only a select few from the thousands of Facebook applications have made it to the verified list. We had to work in close co-ordination with the Facebook team to ensure that we satisfy the strict standards for this program. Our app is part of the Business & Finance section of Facebook’s application directory.

If add the SlideShare app to your Facebook profile, go here.

Angela Connor is an online community strategist and she has written an excellent article about how you can build your own community using SlideShare. Here’s a quick summary of her community building tips:

1. Check to see who has “favorited” and/or “embedded” your slides.
2. Visit their profile and view their slides.
3. Send a personal message asking to connect.
4. Search keywords for your topics of interest. Once you do this, repeat steps 2 and 3.
5. Share your slides on LinkedIn and Facebook.
6. Post thoughtful comments and offer feedback on presentations.
7. Share presentations with others and be sure to let the creator of the slide know about it.
8. Embed slides (yours and others) in blogposts and on your website.
9. Consider sharing more than just slides.

Angela, thanks for the endorsement. We couldn’t agree more.
