New LinkedIn profiles make it easier to add SlideShare presentations

We’ve been working on providing new and exciting ways to add SlideShare content to your LinkedIn profile. Previously this was done with the SlideShare App on LinkedIn, which we are discontinuing in favor of a simpler and easier way to add content. The new LinkedIn profiles will be rolled out during the next month to people around the world. Here’s how to use them.

If you were using the SlideShare App on LinkedIn
As part of the migration, all your existing SlideShare content currently displayed on your LinkedIn profile through the LinkedIn app will be transitioned to the new profile page. Once you opt in to the new LinkedIn profile page, you will see your SlideShare presentations are already there.

If you did not use the SlideShare App on LinkedIn
As part of the new LinkedIn profile, we will be rolling out a simplified experience for integrating rich media content like presentations, videos, and documents. This feature preview is currently available to a limited amount of users and we are rolling it out gradually to everyone in the new year.

View your analytics all in one place
As part of this transition, your LinkedIn profile will no longer display engagement analytics about your SlideShare content. However, you’ll still be able to visit SlideShare.net for detailed engagement analytics on your Slideshare content.

    What about sharing Slideshare content on LinkedIn company pages? This is such a huge missing link!

    I’ve used the app for years and now it won’t display my presentations on my LinkedIn page. I’ve deactivated the app and reactivated it again to no avail. It keeps saying my login details are incorrect but I can confirm they aren’t. I checked via my Slideshare page to make sure and they are definitely correct.

    However I asked my colleague to look at my profile from his account and he can, although it shows my oldest presentations first which I’d prefer if it was my most recent.

    I didn’t realize till recently that I can share voice/video on slideshare. Now with these new changes, I’ll surely start using it more extensively on my LinkedIn profile… and perhaps I’ll discover more applications for it.

    Hello!

    Been facing some issues with the Slideshare app since the new layout from LinkedIn.

    Everything that’s being updated on my slideshare account is not being updated on my LinkedIn profile via the slideshare app. I’ve tried to remove the app by unchecking both items but cannot find the ‘Update Settings’ it’s still reading ‘Add Application’. Even tried syncing it again, but it’s saying ‘Account binding failed’.

    I also had other applications on my page before like Amazon Reading list and WordPress, but cannot find them now on the new profile.

    Can you please advise.

    Can you please advise how I can apply for an invite to the new profile? Another question I have is some page administrators receive a monthly update of their company page and the others do not. How can others receive it too?

    Since the linked in redesign my latest slideshare presentation is not showing in Linked in, however it is showing on the slideshare site.

    Any idea why this may be?

    Also on Linkedin it would be much smother if the latest presentations were show first rather than having to expand..

    I used to have the slide share appplication on my profile, however it is not appearing on my new profile. How can I add a new presentation at my profile? If I am sharing a link, an error appears.
