Next week as thousands of geeks descend upon Austin Texas for South-by-Southwest (SXSW), we’re hosting an open series of Zipcasts. If you don’t already know, a Zipcast is a free and social web conference built upon SlideShare. Starting next Monday anyone who wants to give a presentation can in two ways:
- Before the conference — want to give a warmup talk before presenting in person? This is a great way to practice and get feedback while sharing with others.
- During the conference — while giving a talk, consider Zipcasting it! Simply launch a Zipcast, point the webcam towards you, and full-screen your presentation as it is projected to the room. That way you can give your talk to people beyond the four walls you are in.
To host a Zipcast, simply create a plan on Plancast.
- Find a time that nobody else is using
- Describe your talk or link to your slides
- Include a link to your meeting room (e.g. http://slideshare.net/USERNAME/meeting)
- And, very important, add the tag Zipcast
Zipcasts will show up both on this page on Plancast and in the below widget we are adding to the SlideShare site.
