Students and Teachers can now use Slideshare within Blackboard

Blackboard, the leading educational software provider, announced a few days back that students and teachers can now use content from leading social sites: YouTube, SlideShare and Flickr within Blackboard’s learning management system.

This feature is available to all users of latest version of Blackboard software. The SlideShare integration feature is a part of Blackboard’s mashup framework, which went into Beta in December and earned positive user feedback.

The next option take into consideration is the ease of customizing the appearance of a website from a CMS. Many of the popular CMS use templates to create the appearance of the site, which is great, but just how easy are those templates to edit? And can you substitute the default template easily for either another one to change the look, or better still, use one of your own? One other feature I look for is “can we use a different templte for a specific page or pages?” CMS programs that support these features help you keep a consistent appearance and navigation across your website.
