New features: Comment on & download embedded presentations

We’ve added some great new enhancements to our embedded player today. While you could earlier share and grab the embed code directly from the player, you still had to visit SlideShare to add a comment, to favorite or to download the presentation.

Not anymore! Now you can login to your SlideShare account directly from the player, post a comment, save the presentation to your favorites or download the presentation too. Check out the presentation below to see the features in action

As always, send us your feedback and let us know what you thought. As this is beta, you might encounter some bugs, please let us know about those too. :)

    Very nice feature. It is always great if the number of Hops are reduced :)

    One feature which is missing is “Drop down” of Tags while we favorite a particular slideshow. Something which is similar to delicious.

    looks great but where do I get it from? I’ve tried the wordpress.org plugin in and then embeddded the code from the widget tab on the home page but -

    1 none of the new features seem to appear
    2 The embed overlaps my 3 column template but the edit option in the plugin to adapt the width of the embed doesn’t seem to have an effect
    3 The navigation tools at the bottom of the presentation are compressed on all but the 1st slideshow which appears

    I’m sure there’s a logical and easy explanation and fix but I am not a tech guy and have run out of ideas! Help - would love to use it if I can make it work for my site - take a look at my ‘My Slideshow’ page to see how it currently appears - thanks for any advice you can offer

    Could you please allow people to download the slides without having to create an account first?? It is most unfortunate for our clients…
