You can now upload PowerPoint 2007 files to SlideShare

Yes, you read that right! SlideShare now accepts PowerPoint 2007 files (pptx, ppsx and potx.) This is a feature that many of our users have been requesting and we’ve finally added it.
You don’t need to save as ppt or pdf any longer, upload your pptx files directly to SlideShare.
We have been testing it extensively over the last couple of weeks but there may still be some bugs or conversion issues, so please let us know via our feedback form: http://www.slideshare.net/feedback

Thanks for this.
Is there also a way you can allow users to upload presentations by sending SlideShare and email?
We get lots of presentations by email. To share them, one needs to currently download from email and then upload to SlideShare. It will be great if one could simply forward the email (with attachment) to SlideShare and get the file uploaded directly.

Nicely done. I am just still missing support for animations. My presentations rely heavily on animations and currently they are all “flattened” when slideshare displays the slides, which makes the presentation kind of useless.
