Ever heard of Chris Anderson’s long tail? Someone did the analysis and found that SlideShare presentations have a long tail. What this means in a nutshell is that “there is little chance to be a blockbuster on Slideshare, but that you can quite easily attract a significant audience.” Go here for the original post

Where are the results of the credit crunch contest. This was supposed to be done by now?

No response on David’s query. Seems like no one is concerned!

Should be out very soon. We are going back and forth with judges to get their judgments.

    Thanks for your patience!

    Rashmi,

First you said, last date was October 24th, voting by October 27th, 2008. Then you extended to Friday, Oct 31st.

Clearly the people who uploaded their entries spent, collectively, a lot of time participating in your “marketing” contest. Maybe you can show them some respect by doing what you said? Thanks, David

Fair enough. Please do understand that there is a lot of filtering we have to do of the contest data - there are always some people who have tried to manipulate, others who have reported. We have to look into all that and make sure we are giving everyone a chance.

Also the judges are busy people.

Regardless, point taken that people who participate have put in a lot of work. We do appreciate that. Sorry about delay.

    Rashmi
